What is there to do around the mountains on Saturday afternoon? HEAPS!
For KYCK ON this year, we’ve compiled some options of what you can do with your own groups and other groups around Katoomba and surrounding areas.
Prayer Gathering: Join us each Saturday from 5.30pm-6.15pm in the auditorium to pray for our world , our churches and youth groups, schools ministry, the youth in our communities and more!
Activities
Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink
The Blue Mountains ice skating rink is located on the grounds of the Fairmont Resort, Leura. It’s perfect for those who love to skate, want to learn, or just have some fun! The 600 square metre ice rink is open seven days a week and suitable for all levels and age groups.
With a wide range of sessions to choose from, each session running for 90 minutes, it’s the perfect all-weather activity everyone!

Bushwalking
Bond with your group and enjoy a bushwalk!
Here’s some bushwalks we recommend that are close to StayKCC:
Three Sisters walk
The easy Three Sisters walk offers some of the most iconic views in Blue Mountains National Park, and takes you up close to the famous Three Sisters.
Prince Henry Cliff walk
The Prince Henry Cliff walk follows the cliffs from Katoomba Cascades to Gordon Falls, near Leura. This moderate walking track boasts some of the best views in NSW!
Check conditions before you go (weather, fire threats), be prepared, and make sure others know what your plans are!

Sports
There are plenty of open areas and sports grounds around the mountains, especially close to StayKCC. Organise your own afternoon sports competition (soccer, cricket, basketball) with your youth group or perhaps invite other youth groups to join you!
We’ll have some sports equipment available for you to borrow at the KYCK information tent.

Get your squad together and join the adventure with our Amazing Race! This self-guided pack is perfect for groups of 5-8 people who are ready to unleash their competitive spirit and explore Katoomba like never before. With pre-booked tickets available for only $10, or $15 on the day, you’ll receive a map filled with location-based challenges and fun tasks that will keep you on your toes for 2-3 hours.
